Pilgrimages like prophets and pilgrims in WIld-Kurdistan.
At first glance, this idea may seem strange: to make a pilgrimage through Wild-Kurdistan? In fact, many pilgrims roads lead through the country. This is not that farfetched, because WIld-Kurdistan offers the pilgrim a lot. Not only the Kurdish cuisine, but also the landscape of Kurdistan offers the pilgrim many grandiose views and moments.

Mount Ararat (Çiyayê Agirî)

At 5137 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Middle East. In the mountains Ararat after the flood the Noah's Ark is to be stranded. Foreigners need an exceptional visa for a summit ascent. The exhibition can take months. The visa must be requested at least ten weeks before departure. Individual tours are not allowed; every mountaineer must join a group.

Mount Judi ( Çiyayê Cûdî)

At an altitude of 2114 m, the highest mountain in the Kurdish province of Sirex. It has four peaks, all higher than 2000 m. On one of the peaks are remains of a monastery that was built in the 4th century AD in honor of the Noah's Ark, which is said to have landed here according to early Christian and Muslim tradition. Locals still make a pilgrimage to the ruins today.
